In case you didn't see this, a new study was released today that confirms the correlation between NSAIDS (commonly sold as Advil, Iboprofen, Aleve, etc) increase the risk of miscarriage. Doctors warn patients not to take them after 20 weeks for risk of bleeding, but now they are recommeding pregnant women not take them at all, and those TTC avoid them as well.

Re: NSAIDS and fertility
I thought that was already suggested - no? I know you aren't "allowed" to take them towards the end b/c they can prevent (and I'm sure I'm getting it wrong) but they prevent part of a heart valve from closing and forming correctly or something?
Pre-preg I was a very big NSAID user b/c of my arthritis and I was really nervous how I'd handle the pain and they told me they'd actually rather give me codeine or something like that, if you can believe it.
As it turns out, pregnancy wasn't only the best 'diet' for me ever - - but it was also the first time in a long time I was pain free! I didn't need any meds
I'm another who lives on NSAIDs and I was suprised how well I got by without them for the brief time I was prego.
Megan's right about the nsaids at the end a baby's heart. There's a risk of it closing the duct that baby's use to get blood from their heart to the rest of the body since a lot of blood doesn't pass the fetus's lungs yet since they get oxygen from the placenta.
So that is what caused my heart surgery when I was a month old.... All I know is a valve didn't close when I was born and needed surgery for it. Hmm.
