Regarding Sears Heroes at Home Registry
I signed up on the first day (Wednesday?) and had no problem getting through. Apparently lots of people couldn't get the site to work the first day so I got an e-mail from Sears saying that all entry's were being discarded and Saturday (today) would be the new day to register. I tried over & over again today and only got error messages. I'm pissed that it worked the first time and I got screwed the second. Did anyone else have issues?

That really sucks Lace! I got through really easily the first time, got the email, and had no trouble at all today. We tried to sign up one of K's co workers because he was on duty today and couldn't get it through for him, such a bummer
It kept saying to enter a first name, even though we had.
It's sad and frustrating that they keep having issues this year. I've never heard of it happening like this before. We were so thankful last year for the gift cards (we actually saved them and didn't use them til Mother's day!)
I don't understand why they didn't just accept those applications that had already been submitted previously and then reopen it until the 20,000 spots had been filled today. They shut it down early on Wednesday from all of the glitches so they hadn't all been filled. So silly.
I was wondering if they had filled the 20,000 spots the first time. In that case, I think all the previous people should've been kept in. I hate bitching about free money, but this just really bugged me.
You're not bitching, I completely agree with you. I didn't apply for it but I thought it was on a first come, first serve basis. If all the spots were filled on the first day then common sense says they were the first people to come and they should be able to keep their spots.
It seems like there was a lot of confusion about the program this year in general. If I were you I'd write to Sears and complain; that's essentially what other people did who couldn't get through on the first day and look what that got them.
Yeah it's very frustrating, but like you, I hate complaining about free money.
