Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Oh for F's Sake! (apt related, again)
My Mom happened to mention to a friend of hers that we'd found an apartment. When she told him who our landlords were his response was "That guy is totally nuts." Turns out the husband has had run ins with all of his neighbors, twice he showed up to confront them about various things (mowing the lawn too early, for example) holding an ax. He was apparently fired from his teaching job for smoking pot. The problem is, this is mostly hearsay (though the guy my mom was talking to did have some bad personal experiences with the guy).
This might not be a such big deal, except the apartment is attached to the house, so we'll be in pretty close quarters, rather than mailing them a rent check once a month.
So basically now we get to decide if we take our chances with a guy who might be crazy, or might not give us any trouble at all. Or we can stay in my parents' guest room until we hopefully find something else and be jammed in there with all our stuff for who knows how long.
DH doesn't want to risk moving in, since by definition of his job he works a lot of nights and I'd be alone in the apt a lot. The guy does have a wife and two kids though, so it's not like it is just him and me.
Ugh, I don't know.
