Any ideas where to go for beach/sun in Feb. with a 4-5 month old
So, I've been pregnant all year and really want to go somewhere warm after the baby is born.
I didn't post in Travel because those seem to be mostly US based ladies. We are in Amsterdam so I'm looking for somewhere warm, not too expensive, and baby friendly.
I've asked around and the only suggestions so far are Canary Islands.
Another option is Curacao or Aruba - they have some nice all-in from Amsterdam, but wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

Have you tried Arke. They have some great deals. We went to Greece (Santorini) for a week and it was only 2K for the three of us (airfare, accommodations, and half board included). the only downside to their service is your plane could be at 4AM (which ours was but it turned out not to really matter). I would not suggest Santorini because the water wasn't super warm off season.
You could also try Cape Verde, I've heard very good things about that. My manager went to Tenerife with his family and had an amazing time. There are also some nice resorts in Portugal.
You might also want to think about Turkey. Turkey is the Caribbean for Dutch people!
Personally, I would not do Curacao or Aruba because I would not want to deal with baby jet lag while on vacation.
For the future, keep Kinder Hotels in mind:

It is not sun and surf but they are an awesome place to take your kids on holiday.
We went to this one in July:

It wasn't warm (it was actually freezing cold) but had an amazing, relaxing time!
My boss and his family went to this one for skiing in February (although he said the skiing was bad because there wasn't enough snow) and rebooked for the next year immediately because they had such an amazing time:

Dubai is very kid friendly and the weather is perfect in February. Well, I think it's cold at about 75-80F, but I'm weird like that.
There are tons of hotels to choose from, and the entire city is kid friendly. Plus, there is great shopping at good prices if you're missing anything from back home.

A couple weeks, maybe 2 or 3. I thought Greece and Turkey would be out too as they'd be too cold.
Thanks for this - never really thought of going to Dubai. I'm going to look into it.
Yes, the deals to Curacao & Aruba are through Arke - they seem to have some good deals. Thanks!
