Yesterday I went to the grocery store and there were no tomatoes. We haven't had yogurt for weeks. So I figured, "oh well, my fault, this is what happens when you wait until 5pm to go to the store, I'll try again tomorrow." Of course, I was busy at work so I couldn't leave earlier in the day like normal to go to the store. Today, same thing - no tomatoes. So now I have to hit up a bazaar as well.
Do you know how annoying it is to have to go around town chasing down tomatoes? Oh, and how we have been calling the water people delivery almost daily for a week and they either never show up (after FH stays home from work to wait for an extra hour and a half), or don't call when they do and leave after 2 seconds, so that you are literally chasing them down the street yelling at them to stop - that really sucks. This happened yesterday.
We both have full time jobs and I get so annoyed at things having to be so freaking difficult.
/vent over. Carry on with your days.
Re: GD Tstan!
Ugh. That stinks. Let's all sit back and dream of those mega superstores where you could not only get all your groceries in one go, but your hardware supplies, home essentials, and maybe even a few clothing basics.....sigh.
Hope you find your tomatoes.
Oh no! It's exactly what we were talking about at dinner!
I thought of you today when I bought yogurt today and had lots of choices. Poor you
.
I hope you find your tomatoes and get your water!
Aww, thanks. The yogurt doesn't bug me as much since we started using our EasiYo! yogurt maker. I'm so going to stock up on that shizz next time I'm in Dubai.
Publius - that is surprising, especially in a place like Malaysia where they are really close to big ports AND have lots of expats. I never noticed problems like these in Dubai.
