I've been pretty good about going to the gym 3-4 days a week since January, but didn't go at all last week because it was the first week of school and my legs and feet were killing me all week. Last night I decided I'd try to go to the gym before work this morning, so I did! DH gets up at 4:45 anyway, so I got up at 5:00, was at the gym by 5:30, stayed until about 6:10, went home, and got ready for work. I am NOT a morning person and never even seriously considered working out before work, but I felt pretty good today and I'm going to go again tomorrow a.m. (hopefully)!

Re: AW: Proud of myself
I'm glad to hear it! I'm hoping that I get to the point where it's just normal for me. I figure, DH gets up at that time and I'm usually awake in bed from 4:45-5:30 while he's getting ready for work. Then, I fall asleep again and my alarm goes off at 6:00. Really, getting up at 5:00, I'm only missing about 30 minutes of sleep. It only makes sense that I get my butt out of bed and head to the gym. Besides, leaving work at 5:20 today and realizing that I didn't have to go to the gym was pretty awesome.
Yay!
I get up at 5 and still barely get to school on time... and I don't even go to the gym!

I get to work around 7:30 usually, so as long as a leave my house by 7:10, I'm fine.
Yeah- I don't have to be at work until 7:45, but I get there by 7:15 usually. That way I can leave early (we're supposed to stay to 3:45, but school is out at 3:10) and get Landon.
Plus, I get more done in the mornings when I don't have other people to talk to.
DH and I live 15-20mins from both of our schools and the gym. He started the school year getting up at 4:30 and going to the gym. But that lasted a week... he doesn't get home until 8 or so every night from Aug-Oct (volleyball), so he doesn't see Landon. He gets a few minutes in the mornings with him, but if he goes to the gym he's gone before Landon is up usually.

I am far from a morning person & have to be at school for 7:15, so I totally feel your pain! Based on that, I NEVER thought I'd be someone who would enjoy the gym in the morning, so I didn't try it until after having Mads. Turns out that once I got into the routine I absolutely loved it! The gym was usually pretty quiet & I didn't have to fight for equipment & I felt great for the rest of the day. Um, of course then I got pregnant & tired & lazy & fell off my routine...... but the morning workout was much better than I'd given it credit for. Good for you!!
Super! I have to be at work at 7:15 too, so I have to go after since I live about 40 minutes from work. Not to mention, Zumba only happens at night around here...
My boring blog
Alright, you've inspired me! I normally don't mind going after work but we're doing so much work around the house when we get home that my gym/running is slacking and I have a race next weekend. I told DH we're doing this 4:45/5am thing until next week just to make sure I go and then we can still do work around the house when we get home.
This might be a whole different story when the alarm clock goes off but I'm going to be thinking about you to motivate myself!
Yay! I'm glad I could provide some motivation! I'll be thinking of you when my alarm goes off too and telling myself that I can't slack off after motivating you to go that early!
