Should I chance it?

I'm due for a haircut the middle of this month. Lady E sent along a rec for a salon, and I want to give it a try. Here's my dilemma: this is the time of year I usually color my hair, and go pretty dramatically dark. Would you go to a brand new stylist in a brand new town for a hair cut and color the very first time you meet?

  • Are you somehow going to be able to assess her color skills given more time?  I've never had my hair colored but generally I'm pretty fearless with my haircuts, even when I've had to switch stylists.  But my hair grows fast, so there's that.

With those qualifications, if it were me, I'd just go for it.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • I'm a little gun-shy because I got my hair cut in Norwood in July and I hate it. It looks fine, it's just not the cut I wanted and the woman didn't ask a thing before she started in with the scissors.

I have a cut and color in mind, I may just go for it. Like you said, it's just hair and it will grow.

  • I would go for it!
  • My friend that goes there had her hair colored on her first visit. She has a short bob and has blonde hair (naturally a light brown).

  • I say go for it!  A haircut will grow out, and color can be fixed pretty easily. (Usually.) Good luck!
