I know it is a little early, but I am dying to know what everyone is dressing their babies as for Halloween!
Re: Halloween
I am probably going to find a costume for either an astronaut or fireman. He is walking, so I can't put him in anything that will limit his mobility at all or he won't stand for it. There are so many cute costumes, but they're really not reasonable for an active baby to be in for even an hour.
I don't have kids, but am dressing up my dog. The kids in our old neighborhood always loved Doug's costumes, so it became a kind of tradition. Not sure where we'll be for Halloween, but we are going to an event for the rescue that I used to volunteer with, so he will at least dress up then.
This is what I am going to attempt to make:
I saw one at Old Navy and thought it was the cutest thing ever.
It is usually SO hot here this time of year- still. But we'll play it by ear. I want to find a lightweight Hungry Caterpillar costume. I was inspired by the one in pottery barn but he needs something much, much more light weight than that if we are going to dress him up.
Maybe if that works I can make some butterfly wings for P?
Otherwise, he has a lightweight tee with bats on the front and on the sleeves to wear
Pup- that is super cute!
Lady E- I can't wait to see what you pick out.
Punky- I am in love with the PBK costumes. They are adorable.
Ohhh!
Carter's has so many sweet pumpkin-y outfits, but they all stop at 9 months
I just looked at the PBK costumes- so cute! DS hates anything on his head though. He rips hats off immediately. Really, he would love to be a nudist. I don't know what costume I'm going to find for him. *sigh*
My dog refuses to wear anything. Ha ha ha. I wish he would. He would look so cute!
Mesa81- that sounds freakig adorable. I have a turtleneck sweater if you would like to borrow it and your dog is about 50 lbs like Doug.
Camedowncrushing- Doug does not seem to mind. He has been a rabbi and a skunk and also has a Security wifebeater, a turtleneck sweater, and a jacket. In my defence the sweater and the jacket are because he is short coated and gets cold really easily and the wife beater was from my mom who thinks it's funny to dress him. Doug also does not seem to think he is a dog, so he might not be the norm.
That is hilarious. DoggieCrushing gets very hot....so maybe that is the problem.
You pup is adroable. Here is a picture of Doug as the rabbi. DH has a priest and I was a nun that year for a party we had.
Thanks pup but he's only 21 lbs! This was when I tried to torture him with a lobstah costume. He was not thrilled.
We were going to dress the dog up as Nikki Sixx, since he has some pretty spectacular 80s rocker bangs. I was going to get him a spiked collar and everything.
But then we bought him a raincoat for the hurricane, and I think he'll just be the Gorton fisherman.
He looks not so happy about being the lobster. I love it!
That is great!!!
Last night DS got to wear his halloween pjs because it was chilly! He wouldn't sit still for a cute picture this morning... He was too busy emptying the cabinets. So these are the best I could get.
I agree. Makes me want one of my own.
