I got pulled over a couple weeks ago for speeding. He said I was going 78 in a 65 (but he put 75 so it wouldn't go on my insurance). I just called today to see how much the ticket was because he couldn't give me a price since I had taken my current insurance out of the car to renew my tags. If I don't show proof of insurance it is $443, but if I do then it is only $143. That seems pretty cheap to me and I was curious how that differed throughout the country. Has anyone got a ticket recently?
BTW...I don't drive that fast with Parker in the car. I had met a friend for lunch and was running late back to the office. Also, the speed limit on the highway that I usually take is 75 so I wasn't thinking.
Re: Ticket
**raises hand in shame**
I had my license revoked for a month while I was on bed rest last year (convenient since I couldn't go anywhere anyways)... so lately I've been getting up to 105 (in a 100kl zone) and putting my cruise on. A couple weeks ago I wasn't paying attention and forgot to set it and got caught doing 121. He only gave me 115 and it was a $145.00 ticket.
I have a lead foot
What is a traffic zone?
On the interstate if you get pulled over, you can pay $25 to the highway patrol right then, or go to court.
I was going 85 in a 75
I paid the $25.
That would be AWESOME! How many of the cops pocket that money?
