Why do women ...
feel the need to clean before they go on vacation?
If it were up to my DH he'd just pick up the car keys and leave ... but here I am, even cleaning out my office desk in preparation for vacation.

We never make our bed unless we are going away for the weekend or vacation, it is so nice to come home and have to fold the sheets back to get in. That "Ahhh, my bed." feeling.
On top of that I think I have a morbid logic because I am cleaning out my desk saying, "Well if we died in a car accident or something at least they wouldn't think I was a major slob when they cleaned out my drawers."
Exactly! We think in advance, they kind of live in the present.
On another note, I'm so jealous that you're leaving for vacation in a couple of days. It's a rainy, dreary mess here, and I'd loooove a getaway. Have fun!
