Hi ladies! I'm back!!!
Wow....you guys have been busy!!
We got home late last night. Hawaii was absolutely wonderful! We had a ton of fun, and I haven't felt this relaxed in a long time. I ate a lot of yummy food and drank quite a bit (put on 6 pounds...oops); got a lot of sun; broke or dislocated my toe (all I know is that it hurt and turned purple, but once I accidentally touched it a certain way and felt a little pop, it quit hurting when I walked); saw what may or may not have been a shark in shallow water in front of our condo (local fisherman says shark; I say stingray); went kayaking and snorkeling and tidepooling and swimming. I am a happy girl!
Now that we're home...DH's best friend and his wife are coming to visit us next week! I have until Sunday to scour this house from top to bottom (DH's bff is a total germophobe).

I kinda have to agree with your question! It was definitely a large creature, moving through the water slowly. I know I definitely saw two side fins and maybe a third fin (like near a tail), but I never saw a dorsal fin. How on earth would a shark manage to swim in such a way that his dorsal fin never came above the water?? You know how a ray has that sort of flapping motion? That's what it looked like to me...like it was kind of skimming the surface and the tips came out of the water when he flapped his "wings." But a local fisherman might know better than a white chick who's always been a bit afraid of the ocean.
