dinner near airport/south seattle
back for another recommendation from the lovely seattle nesties.
we're picking up friends from the airport around 8:40pm tonight (one couple will still be on east coast time). we're trying to figure out where we want to take them for dinner. we live in mill creek so somewhere along I-5 corridor, preferably before downtown to eat dinner so they don't have to wait so long to eat.
all i can think of are breweries in georgetown/sodo that don't serve food and their tasting rooms would be closed. any thoughts?
we may just take them further north into seattle for food we know is good if i don't get any raving recommendations. thanks girls!

There is a bunch of stuff in Columbia City, about 20 minutes away. We're big fans of Tutta Bella, which serves pizza with some interesting topping combinations.

1st year anniversary in Victoria with a killer whale topiary!
Tutta Bella's a good recommendation.
Pyramid in SODO should still be open.
There's also all of the stuff at Southcenter mall and at the Landing.
I second Columbia City and Georgetown for restaurants, but even closer is Elliott Bay Brewing in Burien. The West Seattle location is the original and the one I usually go to, since it's less than a mile from my home, but I recently went to the Burien location and decided it's better.
It's great for groups of people because of its size, and everything on their menu is good.

Plus, BEER. GOOD BEER, brewed in-house. You can scope out the brewing room through windows in the dining room.
I like 13 Coins. There's a location right next to the airport.
Via Tribunali in Georgetown.
I haven't been to that location, but their food ROCKS.
