We got the house we love. I'm not super happy about the price, but we love it so we went for it. Now, we're just going to hope that the inspection is good and the assessment/appraisal is legit and it doesn't assess for lower than what we're paying.

That's great!! One step in the right direction.
DH and I are closing on our new house on Friday. Our inspection went great but the appraisal came back $10,000 less than our agreed upon price. At first, the sellers weren't going to budge but finally after a few days they caved and we got the house for $10k less. It worked out in the end but was a roller coaster getting there. I really hope you don't have to go through what we did! But be prepared for anything... Good luck!
YAY! This is so exciting! Congratulations!
