diaper bag ?

I'm finding that I am having issues with my diaper bag-a magnetic closure shoulder thing.  It's almost big enough, but not quite, and I can't wear it and wear Chance and chase William.  I'm thinking I'd love a backpack convertible style, that has straps that change the wearing style, but I can't find any locally to look at.  I see lots online, but I want to make sure I like the inside before I commit to spending good money on a new bag, as it seems the ones I'm looking at online are at least $70+.  Anyone have that type of bag they love, or a store that carries them?  Thanks!

Re: diaper bag ?

  • I've always used my petunia picklebottom boxy backpack. It's awesome for babywearing and doesn't slip. It's very large and I've even washed it in my washer. (although it says to dry clean - ha! whatever.) You're welcome to check it out. I can bring it to lunch on Friday.

I'd adore a PPBB, but there's no way I can get DH on board for spending that much.  I get about $80 in birthday money, and I'm going to use that.

And I need to figure out where to eat lunch!

  • I too and a HUGE PPB fan, they are my 1 baby weakness, I have a few too many.  I have a older (worn, but still in good shape) boxy that I would let you have for $40.  I have a new abundance boxy that I am in love with.  You can email me at kalamoore at hotmail if you want to look at it, pictures, etc.

It's this pattern but the Boxy style: http://www.trenditikes.com/petunia-pickle-bottom-darjeeling-touring-tote.html

  • Thanks for all the suggestions!  I really liked the Jana bag that was on babysteals a few days ago, but wasn't fast enough, so I found this bag, also by Bumble:  http://www.amazon.com/Bumble-Bags-Convertible-Cruiser-Evening/dp/B004A9HFRS/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I211HBZFTGSTTA&colid=2GQAPDIHSSETN.  I like that it doesn't shout diaper bag, has lots of strap configurations.  Can't find it used, but might bite the bullet and hope for the best.

My one dislike to the boxy backpack is the changing pad-when we travel, that set up with the pad unfolding from the front just won't work on most changing stations in rest areas and fast food places.  I prefer to just pack a little washable one (or twelve) to use, that takes up very little space.  Makes up for the cloth diaper space.

I HATE the changing pads on the Boxy too and have taken it totally off both of my bags.  I keep disposable ones in my bag to use.

    Good luck with your search!
