I cannot stand that woman. I watched the show every now and then when she and Jon were still together and ended up catching the Sarah Palin special and I wanted to slap her for whining the entire time they were camping because she was cold. She needs to grow up.

I think that People cover story is just another plea for someone to give her a job. She can't go back to being a "normal" person now. She needs the celebrity life. What happened to all those TV hosting jobs I thought she was getting?

People has been in cahoots with her for a long time--always promoting her. This is a job ad, IMO.

I can sympathize w/ her that it's scary - this has been her life for 6 years and she has 8 kids to support.

BUT it's very obvious that she hasn't been super smart about managing her money and she's a fame whore. So.... on that end I have no sympathy for her.

Get a real job lady! Just because you have a lot of kids doesn't mean you're entitled to have things handed to you on a silver platter (even if that's how it's been in the past). I really hope she doesn't get another show. Those poor kids, they're the real losers in this whole pitiful situation.

She can be really annoying and grates on my nerves, but at the same time, I can't even begin to imagine starting from scratch as a single mom of 8 kids. I have a lot of friends that are divorced without kids, and they have this feeling of being lost, it is hard to get back on track to how you felt before. I realize she is speaking financially, she needs to make an attitude change too.

I read some blurb on one of her shows that she flipped out on the nanny for dividing up the pizza wrong? Then yelled at her child for giving Steve the slice instead of wrapping it in foil?

I don't feel bad/sorry for her. I feel bad for the children. I swear Kate cannot even look at any of them without seeing dollar signs.

But she shouldn't be "starting from scratch". She's been making a lot of money - instead of spending it on hair extensions, tanning, boob jobs, etc, she should have been saving it. From what I understand, their new home cost over $1 million. It's huge, and there is a lot of property attached to it - which is going to require upkeep.

I'm not saying she had to spend nothing, but she should have been a LOT smarter w/ the money. She had to have realized that this gravy train was eventually going to end.

I watched that episode too. She pissed me off with her complaints about how cold is was and why do people do this (live in Alaska)? Yea, nice way to insult your hosts and TLC (her employer who obviously set the whole thing up to promote Kate and the Palin's show) I was hoping one of the Palins would run her over with a snowmobile... but that didn't happen.
