My BFF had her baby yesterday! They named him Leeland*Zander*LastName ... I'm not the biggest fan, but obvs wouldn't tell her that.

Re: Baby Name Chat

  • It's an interesting name. I wouldn't use it, but it could be worse. Will he go by Lee?
  • Definitely NMS, but at least it's not totally out there and crazy.

    I assume so.

I've never heard of Leeland before, and she says it's just a name they picked, no family ties...

  • I may DD this later because it involves a last name.  SIL had her baby a week after Molly was born.  They named her Sarah Sophia.  Only bad part is the last name is Couch.  I've told a few people, and all they hear is Sarah Sofa Couch.  Oops.

I have heard Leiland twice....Dog the bounty hunter's son and also in the Bowling for Soup song where he says "Then she went to Cleveland, with some guy named Leiland, that she met at the bank."

That's all I can think of.

I don't actually mind the name Leeland, but all that comes to mind is that greaseball douchebag with the rat tail, so obvs that kills it for me.

    Yes

  • Leeland is a town in Northern Michigan. I know some people who have a cottage on Lake Michigan there. That's all I can think of with the name.

Either way, not really my style.
