A chartered flight carrying an entire professional hockey team in Russia crashed today. The reports indicate that there is one survivor. It's so hard to imagine an entire team being killed in a plane crash. I mean, plane crashes in general are awful, but imagine all the family and friends of the team. I can't imagine losing 35 people all at once. Such a terrible tragedy. The team was the Lokamotiv from the KHL, in case you wanted to send some prayers up for the family and people impacted.

Re: I can't even imagine.
My boring blog
I always think about car accidents this way. We had a guy at work loose an entire part of his family (brother, SIL, and nephews) in a car accident coming home from a family vacation - I couldn't imagine loosing an entire part of your life like that.
Three former Red Wings were killed. Former assistant coach Brad McCrimmon, former defenseman Ruslan Salei and former goaltending prospect Stefan Liv.
So tragic.
It is amazing how connected the hockey world is. We had three former prospects on the place. It's just so sad. I can't imagine how the families, fans and just everybody must be feeling. I was so sad and shocked last week after one of our players died. I just can't fathom the loss of the whole team.
Very much so. Very sad.
