Purse poll (non-clicky)

Where do you  put your purse at home?  My mom always keeps hers on the kitchen counter in a corner.  Mine ends up either on the kitchen table or my dresser but I don't really like either place.

Just wondered where everyone put theirs so maybe I can be inspired to put mine someplace new:)

Re: Purse poll (non-clicky)

  • We have a utility room that connects our garage to the kitchen and rest of the house, so my purse/diaper bag and Margots carseat get left in the utility room. Keys go on the hanging organizer in the utility room wall. What kind of space do you have? Before we had a garage and utility room, we had a mail table near the entrance. Purse went on or under the table, and keys, etc went in a small nice dish we had on the mail table.

  • We do have a utitilty room that comes in from the garage and out into the hallway that leads to kitchen.  We come in/out through that door.  With that being said, there really isn't room for anything other than the w/d and built in shelves above them.  It's a very awkward shape.

Maybe I'll hang it on a hook in the hallway, lol!  JK!

  • We have a "cocktail table" that has a shelf on the bottom in our living room/.front hallway (very open floor plan)...I keep it there.

  • Mine usually winds up on the couch by JJ's bag. I should probably have a more permanent spot for it, but oh well.

  • Wherever I end up tossing it...

Sometimes I hang it on the corner of a dining chair; sometimes I throw it under the bar. If I'm shopping online and need my CC, my purse ends up by the couch. If we have company, I put it in the bedroom. We don't have an entry way in this apartment, so there's really no good place for it. Nate's backpack is hung on a hook of the hall closet, but there's no room for my purse there.

  • Well we live in a TH so our floor plan is pretty open. When I walk in we have a book shelf from Ikea and a bowl on the top of it. This is our key bowl and I toss my car keys and work keys here. Then I walk into the dining room and put my purse and bag onto one of the dining room pub chairs. This is usually where it stays until I leave again. Sometimes I am really distracted and end up putting my purse down on the kitchen counter but when I notice it later I move it to the chair.
  • Mine has no real location, it can honestly be anywhere.

I'd say that 60% of the time it's next to my couch/stairs and the rest of the time it's on the floor, upstairs, or on the couch in the front living room (never used)

  • Usually hanging off of a chair in the kitchen and the diaper bag sits on the same chair. When we have company I pit it in the hall closet
  • I put mine on a corner kitchen counter that never gets used. It's not a part of the rest of the counter where we cook and stuff. Basically it's a dumping ground for mail, keys, cell phones, purse, etc. Except my keys go on the key hook by the back door in the mud room.
  • Dang you and all of your open floor plans.  If we came in the front door I could have a little table because there's room.  Maybe I just need a hook in the laundry room or front room although it's not super convenient.

  • Mine is on the floor next to the coffee table.  Never thought of hanging a hook for it though, hmmm....
  • On an ottoman in the living room unless people are coming over, when I move it to our room.
  • I walk in the door and it gets tossed on the sofa next to the door.
