DH and I want to go somewhere somewhat local for a little getaway weekend at the end of the month. We want to either do a Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun. Suggestions?
We're in So. MD...so we may even do Baltimore for the night...but not sure what to do all day...
Other local drives? We're OK with 2-3 hours...

Lancaster is our favorite spot to go to in the fall because of all the pretty scenes and the peaceful drive. It's so relaxing and fun to stroll down the streets where there are tiny little shops and great places to eat. There's great comfort food this time of year up there and we always make sure to stop by the Amish markets to get some!
Last year we went to National Harbor twice and stayed at the Gaylord both times..once in September for our anniversary and once in December with family. It was fun but fast-paced and not as relaxing as we had hoped for.
It depends on what you're looking for...
