Ugh! She did it again

Coworker brought her 8yo son in again today (schools are closed due to flooding). Bosses were fine with it. Really?! Make her take a sick/vacation day! Grrrrr!!!!!!

Re: Ugh! She did it again

  • I suppose this isn't the type of 8-year-old who can sit all day entertained with a book, huh?

Book? Haha. TV, movies and DS (handheld game thing with most of you probably already know, lol.)

And I'm not going to complain to my bosses. He doesn't bother me or my work. And they are so good to me, too. I guess that's why I vent to you guys. I just feel like she's taking advantage or their kindness and it's not ethical (I know that's not the right word). Um, not professional. It started with a few hours over the summer. But now school's back in session and there are a lot more people in and out of the office.  KWIM?

  • I don't think that's right. That's what personal days, sick days and PTO are for. Does she plan on bringing him in EVERY time school's out? That'll stack up after a few weeks. I hope this trend doesn't continue...I agree that it's totally not professional.

    Yes

  • It sounds like she'll probably abuse their kindness, and your bosses will eventually call her out on it. Still annoying though!
  • That kind of stuff should be saved for very extenuating circumstances... Especially if it's not a child friendly work environment.
