My AW is that I booked a flight for our anniversary trip last night. I was able to use credit card points and only paid $26.42 total for both of us to fly to NYC. A $13 plane ticket made my frugal heart very happy.
I also got a Michael Kors wallet last night in the mail. It came with the designers name plate a touch crooked. I almost wasn't sure if I was imagining it or not, so it isn't too bad. But I called the store for a replacement and they are sold out.
So she just credited my card without me having to return the wallet. Cool!
Both of these are amazing. I have a frugal heart too.

My AW is that I ordered a custom camera bag from Etsy that I think will be perfect for our trip. I can't wait to see it!
I already talked about it this week, but we made some awesome progress on both the nursery and the storage/un-finished half of our basement this last weekend. The both look great so far!
Last night I had my work shower - which was basically just a bunch of people going out to dinner and then me opening presents for a few minutes. It was fun, and we got some great stuff - pretty much everyone got me one of their favorite baby/kid books so we're starting to have a nice collection.
Oh, and I just figured out who Latte is. I know I could have just asked in a pm, but I wanted the challenge of figuring it out. So, I'm a little behind, but proud of myself.
lol! I hate being all secret squirrel about it because it makes it sound more dramatic than it is, but I have my reasons for the change. Blah.
And yeah for a nice shower. Going out to dinner and opening presents sounds pretty good to me.
I demand pics! (and yay for progress!)

I will AW my DH. He sent me 2 dozen roses to my work yesterday. I rarely get flowers from him, so it was a nice surprise!
Sometimes the best vacations are ones at home... Enjoy your 10 days not working, I am jealous!!!

I promise I will take pics of at least the nursery this weekend. I would have done it Tues or last night or tonight, but I can't believe how busy we've been after work these days! (Yes, I know, it takes 5min to take some pictures and upload them...).
Great AW's This week!
While we were on vacation in Marquette, I did the Marquette Marathon on Saturday and betterred my personal best full marathon time by 20 minutes! That's huge and I'm super pumped! I am really proud of myself for all the hard work I did and glad it finally paid off - I'm hoping to see some similar pay offs in my shorter races this fall.
Also - I have Saturday afternoon to myself. I am quite excited. DH is visiting with his brother. I can't rememebr the last time I had some "me" time and I am having a lot of fun thinking about all the things I want to do. My top pick right now is starting a new crafting project to make some fall/Halloween/Thanksgiving decorations for the house since I actualyl have somewhere to put decorations now! I think I may start doing some serious canning too. I have a new salsa recipe I want to try!
Mine is kinda lame but I am officially wearing regular clothes again! After a looong time in maternity pants it's nice to wear jeans with a zipper/button.
And I'm keeping my fingers crossed but H tells me there's talk of him getting switched to day shift again - it's been 1 1/2 yrs of us working opposite shifts so it will be really nice to eat dinner with him during the week.
I made it through my first day back from work after a 10 day vacation without dying!
I'm pretty proud of this.
I hope it works out that he can switch! DH and I are in the same situation, but it's been like that for almost 5 years. I try not to complain because he has a job, but I would love to have family dinners!
DS is finally walked un-assisted! Of course he's still learning to bend his knews when he walks, so it's so cute to watch him learn. right now he's walking w/1 sock on & 1 sock off....
Also, I just got my hair highlighted today, bye bye dark roots!
now that i've gotten my hair cut, permed & highlighted w/in the last month or so, the pedicure I got on Sat. & some new clothes recently, I'm ready for my Women's Retreat next weekend, 3 days, no kids, & i'm driving up myself so i can do/stop as i please...
