Where should we go this weekend?
We live about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia and want to get away
for the weekend. We just put down our beloved dog of 15 years and I
need to get out of this house.
The catch is that my husband has a broken ankle and is in a walking cast so we can't do a ton of walking or go on the beach. It sounds like DC and NYC would be crazy because of 9/11. We are out of ideas.
What are your suggestions? We can't leave work until 5 on friday and need to be back on sunday.
thanks so much!
Re: Where should we go this weekend?
I asked a similar question a little while ago and got some great suggestions. You can still see my post at the end of the page.
I'm sorry about your dog.
I'm sorry to hear about your pup.
All the places off the top of my head involve walking or flooding. Admittedly i am stumped.
This.
Maybe get a hotel in center city, have a couple of nice meals out and just relax?
I'm having a hard time too, without lots of walking. Maybe Baltimore, if you wouldn't be opposed to DC or NYC if it wasn't 9/11.
And so sorry about your dog.
Sorry about your dog. Saw this in an email this morning:

A weekend in Philly could be nice too like pp said.
I am sorry about your dog
Lancaster County or a weekend in the city.
Great Adventure! You can get to the front of the lines with him in a cast!
baltimore is nice. the inner harbor and fells point are both walkable in a boot since they are relatively small areas.
good shopping, eating and drinking. sounds like a decent remedy for such a sad week. so sorry to hear about your pups.
