Cold Case Q

Have they stopped relying so heavily on songs from the year of the crime?

Now it seems they only play one song right at the very end when they're arresting the perp.

Boo.

Re: Cold Case Q

  • I totally binged on Cold Case episodes the summer I studied for / took the bar exam. My favorite part of the show was all the songs they had! (Especially some of the episodes set in the 90s -- ahh, memories.)

  • If I remember correctly, they were trying to cut costs on the show to keep it around.  Every time a song plays, the artists/songwriters get money for use in the show.

This. Which I think is also why the show isn't available on DVD (at least it wasn't a few years ago).

That sucks!  Really, chopping one of the main detectives would be preferable to cutting out the sweet tunes.

Even in episodes way before I was born, I enjoyed the music.  Like PP said, it was the best part!
