Our sex life goes great, then takes a dive, then slowly starts to increase. And the cycle continues. Right now we are in a slight decrease and hope it will increase once we have our weekends back

What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? Sometime between my freshman and sophomore year of college. I was on a lot of anxiety meds and birth control pills and I was sleeping a lot in combination of the sexual side affects of the medication. I'm sure it was months at a time before we would have sex.
What is a good week in terms of how often you have sex (2 days, 5 days, every day)? 3+ times a week
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)? In the afternoon or when I've been drinking or even better if I've been drinking in the afteroon.
When are you least likely to be in the mood? In the morning or any time when I haven't showered for the day.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I think after so long you know what works and don't veer from that. I guess more unexpected stuff would be nice and not even like crazy positions but switching up the order of things. I'm thinking of Friends ( a 2, then a 3, a 2, then a 4, 4, 7, 7 7 7 7 7) lol.
Has your sex life gotten better or worse as your relationship goes on? Better b/c of number one. I'm not on birth control, anxiety meds, and I'm on medication now to speed up my thyroid which can help your drive. My body is finally normal.
What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? 4-5 months. BC pill really messed with me. I'm assuming this means with H. I went 3 years before meeting H. I'm not really a fan of sex.

What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? After Elle was born about 7 weeks. One because they told you 6 weeks and two, we were just too dang tired and stressed. We tried being celibate for the year before our wedding, that didn't last too long.
What is a good week in terms of how often you have sex (2 days, 5 days, every day)? I guess 2-3 times.
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)? Saturday or Sunday mornings. Sometimes an afternoon when we have a rare nap.
When are you least likely to be in the mood? Most weeknights.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I should initiate more, and I would like more cuddling and forepaly-but time is a premium for us.
Has your sex life gotten better or worse as your relationship goes on? Better, we know what works and how to please each other, and there is a level of comfort. I do miss the excitement of a new relationship sometimes.

When DH does sexy things (ie cleaning, after he works out), or when I feel good about myself.
When are you least likely to be in the mood? After I work, I am exhausted after a 12 hour shift. I also feel so drained of "taking care" of people.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? Dh would love more frequently, other than that we are pretty happy

I think we went a few months at the beginning and end of my pregnancy with Kellen because I was sick all the time in the beginning and would puke for no reason and then huge, swollen, and uncomfortable towards the end.

If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? If it happened more often! haha. We need to seriously work on it together. DH seems to always been in the mood and I rarely ever am. I am always tired and we hardly ever see each other.

What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? 10 weeks. It was after my csection w/Sawyer, and it didn't really bother me at all. DH was going crazy, though. Haha! Probably the longest w/out a medical reason would be about 3 weeks or so, but not really for any specific reason.

When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)? Honestly, I'm almost never in the mood anymore. I can, however, be coerced by a helpful husband, some massaging, and other general niceties. Haha!

When I just need a shower, I've had a hellacious day with Sawyer, it's my first time "alone" in several days, and all I want to do it lay down and read without being touched. Sometimes, it's just nice to not be needed for anything. Sadly, DH almost never understands how I wouldn't want to "relax" by getting busy.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I'd be back into it like I was when I was younger, felt good about myself, and had no one that depended on my but myself. I'm very blah about everything sexual lately...

What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause?
Neither Dh nor myself had any interest in sex during my pregnancy, and I think it was a good 4-5 month gap.
What is a good week in terms of how often you have sex (2 days, 5 days, every day)?
I would say around 3-4 times a week.
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)?
Late night or after some wine.
When are you least likely to be in the mood?
After a really hard day.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be?
The only thing I don't like is that it's hard to manage around a child (perfect timing, keeping quiet, deciding what to do if she wakes, etc.) Not really fixable or either of our faults, but it's much better sex when she is at grandma's. We're also at about half of the frequency we would really like.

I feel like it keeps getting better.

We were still in a long distance relationship and had to go three months without visiting each other, so obviously no sex during that time. As far as dry spell while being married? 1 month when I had surgery and then got my period. Horrible timing for that time of the month to show up lol.

If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? Have more time for sex. With DH working full time and in school, and me working long hours full time, sometimes there is no time for sex during the week and it becomes a weekend only thing.
Has your sex life gotten better or worse as your relationship goes on? I would say worse, only because the frequency is less. It hasn't affected us emotionally, because we both have less time and are equally tired, but we both wish we had more time/energy for it.
What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? With DH, no more than a few weeks. We both start getting a little moody when its been a while. Before DH, that would be about 8 months when I was in college...I was just single, and self-conscious enough that I wouldn't go home with just any guy. Later outgrew it.
What is a good week in terms of how often you have sex (2 days, 5 days, every day)? DH would probably say quality over quantity (i.e., if I wake him up with morning sex after my bootcamp, or I'm in the mood for a marathon night). I'll say 3-4 times is a good week though.
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)? After a romantic dinner, or an evening where its been just the two of us, or an evening out with friends where DH's humor is really "on."
When are you least likely to be in the mood? When I am super, super tired.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I wish DH and I were more compatible about our times of day...he loves it in the morning, or when its daylight out. I prefer just going to bed an hour early but keeping the dog out of the room.
Has your sex life gotten better or worse as your relationship goes on? DEFINITELY BETTER! Especially after going to counseling and improving our communication...getting over those big hurdles was so worth the challenge, and it shows in EVERY aspect of our relationship.

If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I wish I initiated more. This topic is probably the biggest struggle in our marriage, but we're working on it. Honestly, when I'm in the middle of something, I get so focused on the task at hand that sex doesn't occur to me. I hate leaving things incomplete to go have sex.
Has your sex life gotten better or worse as your relationship goes on? I think better. Before we were married we were long distance, so the frequency has definitely gone up. Also, I was much more worried about getting caught by roommates or whatever, or getting pregnant, so now those pressures are gone.
What has been the dryest period that you've ever gone through? What was the cause? It is common for us to go a couple months at a time. We were starting to get better once I moved N to his room but then I got pg so now it's ehh again. I'd say the longest was probably 3-4 months caused by having N.

When are you least likely to be in the mood? In the morning (don't even come close to me without brushing your teeth, ick) or if he just straight up asks me. Not romantic at all.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be? I would probably be more into it if I felt better about myself. Him too. So, I guess we'd both need to lose weight/get healthier.

4 months, when Sam was on a deployment. With him home it was the 6 weeks after I had Marshall. Under normal circumstances, maybe 2 weeks.

2 or 3 times a week.
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)?
I'm usually up for it whenever. I think I have only turned Sam down a handfull of times. Even if I'm not overly excited about it to start with, I've never regretted it once we got going.
When are you least likely to be in the mood?
First thing in the morning...I like the kissing part, but I can't do that if teeth haven't been brushed!
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be?
Frequency. We have been a little less frequent lately because Sam is stressed with work/school and I'm not exactly exuding "sex" vibes right now being 30 weeks pregnant!

I would say it's about the same or better. Some of our best sex was post-baby sex...I'm hoping that holds true with this one as well!

Probably 1-2 months. Cause: pregnancy with NO sex drive, exhaustion, etc.

Pre-pregnancy: 2-3x week. During pregnancy: 1x every other week.
When are you most likely to be in the mood (can be time of day or situational)?
Probably mid-day, but these days it's mostly never.
When are you least likely to be in the mood?
I can't really choose a time, because it's all the time right now, but probably usually when I get into bed at night.
If you could change one thing about your sex life what would it be?
That I would have more of a sex drive right now, and therefore be having more sex. Poor DH doesn't get much these days.

Better/stayed the same, until I got pregnant, and then it took a nose dive.
