There has to be a permit somewhere...right?!

So we are getting everything ready to close next Wed the 14th. We've had to kind of rush on everything because the buyer of our house wasnt budging on that date and our seller of the new home was open to closing before 30 days...so its just been a little more hectic for our LO. Anyhoot, had the appraisal done, went to underwriting, and they sent back their conditions on Tuesday. We gave them everything we needed to provide but the one condition that makes me nervous is that they need the permit for the sunroom that is on the new home. The sunroom was built before the current owner even moved in. So, there's gotta be a permit somewhere, right?!!? I guess if any ol Joe Schmo built it maybe he didnt get one, but wouldnt they have needed one when the current owner bought the house? Just trying to ease my mind here.....anyone know of any way to search for building permits online? Supposedly our realtor has a program to look this stuff up but we havent heard back from her about it yet.

ETA: So just as soon as hit POST, I get an email from my realtor! A professional company built the sunroom, so I am sure there has to be a permit out there somewhere. The seller is digging through his paperwork to see if he can find it, if not, he will call the company. So, hopefully, my original post can be null and void. :-)
