What is your favorite condiment?
Re: QOTD - Thursday edition
Ooooh a toughie! Lately I've been putting Frank's Red Hot on everything, but my go-to is mustard. I love spicy mustard, honey mustard, dijon--definitely better than mayo, and more versatile.
Oh and there's this garlic mustard aioli that we got from Trader Joe's that is SOOOO GOOD. I dip pretty much everything in it.

I love mayo and blue cheese dressing. A lot of people don't like either, but I love it, althoughs sometimes I overdo it on both and then I have to cut back for a while b/c it grosses me out.
Oh, and I also love guacamole! I could eat that everyday with a spoon.
Baconnaise
It's good on just about everything. Burgers, for dipping fries, sandwiches. Or smoked salt. So great to top shrimp, chicken, steaks, risotto, even plain pasta.
My Food Blog
I think it depends on what i'm eating. I'm kind of a condiment connoisseur.
I will say though, that my all time favorite dipping sauce is tartar sauce mixed with ketchup. You might think that's gross, but it's not.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Hard question. It completely depends on what I'm eating but a couple of my go to faves:
Buffalo Wild Wings - Spicey Garlic sauce
Guacamole
Stand up for something you believe in.
I'd have to go with spicy/horseradish mustard for everyday usage.
But a close second would be the garlic aioli from Amsterdam Falafel which I get like never (we just don't venture to Adams Morgan like we used to) and mostly just dream of.
I definitely pick my condiment based on what I'm eating. But some awesome condiments that I think are underused and really make a meal are guacamole, malt vinegar (can't have fish and chips without it), any kind of yummy homemade aioli.

Haha! My college roommate put ketchup on her mac and cheese! Now that's gross.
I can't pick one favorite condiment. If you saw the door of my fridge, you would understand. I do think that good quality ranch dressing can be used in many, many circumstances.
That's not gross! It's awesome! (If it's homemade mac and cheese, at least.) In fact, it's what I'm having for lunch TODAY.

A-1. Great on burgers. Great dip for french fries. Yum!
I also am very fond of homemade ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, the dipping sauce for potstickers, srchachi, chili-garlic paste, the green salsa at Baja Fresh, mayo, tartar sauce, honey mustard from KFC, fire sauce at Taco Bell, chic-fil-a sauce, apricot jelly at La Madeline and at Le Pain Quotidien, and the onion ring dipping sauce at Burger King.
It is rare for me to use ketchup. There's usually a condiment that I prefer over ketchup.
I love bbq sauce, though I don't know if I'd go so far as to put it on mac and cheese. A close second is sour cream.
And I agree with Wines, I don't count guac as a condiment, especially if it's good and chunky.

I've got to say, the condiment we use most frequently in my house is ketchup. But homemade mayonnaise is something I can't get enough of.
And guacamole, while not a condiment, is a necessity.
probably ketchup. i don't use a lot of condiments since i hate mayo and only like mustard when cooking with it.
all around is definitely franks red hot. i basically use it like i would ketchup (fries, burgers, etc.) but also as a dip for raw veggies and on pizza as well as using it conventionally as a hot sauce for wings, chili, etc.
for sandwiches, I really adore jazzed up mayo. like mayo + garlic + chipotle or mayo + garlic + basil. this is kind of weird b/c i don't really like straight up mayo.
i also go through an insane amount of peach cherry chutney i can each year.
I love horseradish sauce on pretty much everything- fries, turkey sandwiches, eggs, etc...
DH dips his peanut butter sandwich in ketchup.
I don't like ketchup at all so it is doubly gross for me. He swears it is yummy.
My hubby adores peanut butter + pickle sandwiches.
My favorite condiment is malt vinegar. I blame it on my time abroad in London. Sprinkling it on top of fish & chips isn't enough?I pour it into a cup and individually dip each chip in that instead. It probably pickles my insides or something but I can't get enough!

definitely a double ick!! i like ketchup on very specific things (mostly on fries) and i loooove peanut butter but the two were never meant to be eaten together.
i am so glad that DH is a fellow mayo-hater. we don't have it in our house. ever.
