Jess - I don't know if you have any websites that you can check seat position in certain vehicles? Just wondering if it is safe to put a carseat in the 3rd row of a 2011 Traverse? It would only be there once in a while, most of the time it would be in the middle seat on the passenger side.
Re: SCB - Carseat Q
Yes, you can do it, but I believe that only the center position has the tether, and I don't think there are any latches, so you would have to use belt installation.
From what I can find the middle is going to be your best bed because of the tether, and because it doesn't have head rests, which can cause some seats to install incorrectly.
Here is a good post from carseat.org.....

Are you getting a Traverse? I love mine!! We have the bucket seats in the middle, and I love that too! With two carseats in the back, now it's not going to be as easy to get to the 3rd row, but definitely doable. And, I'm never in the back anyway, so what do I care?
I don't know what I'm doing. I have been looking at a new Edge, but the Traverse gets better mileage. I also don't really want to buy brand new since they loose so much value the 1st year & I put a TON of miles on. Might have found a 2011 Traverse with 5k miles on it. My Edge has 99K...need to get rid of it our keep it until it dies.
If I do go with the traverse I plan on having C in the 2nd row most of the time, but want to option to put him in the 3rd row if there are a bunch of us going somewhere. (aka....I don't want to sit in the 3rd row).
