Washing Machine

I never post over here but I have had an unfortunate circumstance and I'm hoping to find a solution.  I washed a load of towels and something is wrong with my washing machine and I couldn't get it to unlock to get my towels out.  I tried everything I could to unlock it and of course this happens on the same day I'm flying out of the country for 3 weeks and my DH isn't home (we live in Spain).  I couldn't reach my landlord or his sister so I had no option but to leave it and let my friend try to get them out.  She has not been successful and my husband gets home on Sunday so my towels will be in there for 5 days.  I can't even imagine how gross they are going to be.  Is there anything that can be done to save my towels once we rescue them from the washer?  I imagine they will be all mildewy as well.

Thanks so much for your help!

Re: Washing Machine

  • Maybe unplug it--will that reset it?

As for saving the towels--maybe just wash with oxyclean and see what happens.  Most likely it will be a lost cause.
