Ear or forehead thermometer recs?
Does anyone use either an ear or forehead thermometer that they would recommend?
I always forget to buy one of these until Jack has a fever and he doesn't exactly sit still enough to get his temp other ways.
Re: Ear or forehead thermometer recs?
I got 4 of these from other Moms at my showers: (I haven't had the opportunity to use yet as temps other than axillary, temporal & rectal aren't supposed to be accurate before 6 months...)

But I really want this instead:

ETA: photos too!
We have one of those forehead ones and it's never accurate...I've tested it out on Andy and I using that and the traditional under the tongue one to compare and the forehead one was always at least 4 degrees lower, which is a big deal. Granted it is probably a $10 version knowing the person who gifted it to us, so if you were to buy one of those then I would spend good $$ and get a really well rated one. I don't know how they compare to ear ones though.
Remember those plastic heat strips they had back in the day that you just laid on your forehead and watched them turn color? Those were the sh!t. I need to see if they still exist.
thanks to jennied
Oh! you made me think of these:
We used these on the flight team and I loved them! $13.00 for 100 seems pretty reasonable too.
My aunt used to have an old school one similar to this: the case had magnets on it and she stuck it to her fridge and we used to play with it all the time when we were little.
Good Times.
YES!!!! Loved that thing!
