Is this still okay to eat?
My friend had a bunch of deer meat in her freezer. She gave me some summer sausage that I put in my freezer right away. I took it out one week ago (last Thursday) and moved it to the fridge. I had intentions of using it last weekend, but I didn't. Would it still be okay to use this weekend? I thought it would be an easy take along with crackers and cheese for tailgating.
Re: Is this still okay to eat?
According to the USDA, if it's unopened (3 mo. shelf life), you should be okay. Opened has a 3 week shelf life, which you're still within the range of. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, there's a table listing expirations for different types of meat, summer sausage included.

I would say yes...
Sounds great for tailgating! Go Cyclones!!
