Weekend plans? 9/11, more rain, sounds like fun!
Yes, my subject line is sarcastic.

So what are your weekend plans?
Re: Weekend plans? 9/11, more rain, sounds like fun!
Well, we were going to try to do the zoo this weekend, but I'm not sure what the roads around Rock Creek look like...?
Other than that, hoping to look at/buy a BOB stroller from CL.
I am just so drained from the weather and the anniversary. And I spent some time yesterday listening to the 9-11 recordings from air traffic control that were just released. I spent 9-11 at a local general aviation airport and after we realized what was happening, we listened to ATC at Reagan National and the general DC area to find out what was happening in the sky while we watched the news. So hearing taped excerpts really brought back those memories.
Tonight: Go home and have a beer.
Tomorrow: DH and I are taking LO to a model train exhibit. Of course, he's too little to appreciate it, but DH will.
Sunday: I have to work, but it's near outlets, so I might go a bit early and hit the outlets.
we are hoping to go to the Alexandria Arts Festival but the weather might screw that up.
Otherwise, pizza and movie tonight. Pilates class tomorrow. Possible arts festival tomorrow and Sunday. DH is way too excited about football and I am sure he would be excited for more rain because that would give him the perfect excuse to lay around and watch TV.
Tonight: Relax, maybe run some errands (returns and such)
Sat: Finish up a million different house projects
Sunday: Relax, see a movie
I think tonight DH and I are going to go out drinking. Before that i'll clean the house and do laundry.
Tomorrow i'm not sure. If it's not raining, clean up the yard. If it's raining, maybe find some fall decorations that are put away and get them out. Make dinner, paint my nails...
Sunday we're going to visit the 9/11 memorial the Volunteer FD has up the road then go to brunch somewhere and hopefully lounge around all day.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
Tonight: Out to dinner. Then probably falling asleep early on the couch. The first week of school when the kids are here is so exhausting.
Tomorrow: Up, breakfast, gym, home to shower, then we're headed into the district for dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak. We will probably spend the afternoon doing some bar hopping too. I'm pretty excited.
Sunday: no plans really. Probably grocery shopping. Relaxing at home, reading, getting ready for the week, etc.
My Food Blog
tomorrow: sleeping in, probably grocery shopping for the week, maybe dinner and a movie.
sunday: we're trying to figure out some way to honor the day, not sure what we'll do yet. i really wish we could be spending the day in new york since we were both living there in 2001. and, of course, lots of football on chez cheeky. my team isn't playing until monday night so i'm less interested in sunday's games :P
Tonight: Happy hour for DH/BIL's birthday.
Tomorrow: Need to run some errands in the morning. In the afternoon, we'll visit a friend of mine who had twin girls a few weeks ago. Then a birthday dinner with a good friend and her DH.
Sunday: Not sure yet. DH is having his monthly scotch night in the afternoon, so I need to find a way to make myself scarce.
Baby248 - ETA 1/10/13
Tonight: Possible Happy Hour and then cooking all the food in fridge that will go bad if we don't!
Saturday: Possible trip to Lowe's/Home Depot (I think we've gone nearly every weekend since we bought the house!), paint powder room and finish painting hallways, 9/11 memorial 5k
Sunday: 10-12 mile run, mass, grocery shopping, getting ready for Monday (blah), oh and I need to iron like nobody's business, I think 3/4 of my wardrobe is in the needs ironing pile!
We're supposed to go Free Fest tomorrow but might be rethinking that if the weather is bad again.
Otherwise ... laundy, laundy and more laundry.
Tonight- pasta for dinner, wine, painting my nails... I also may watch the 9/11 special on the History Channel.
Tomorrow- Maybe going to the arts festival in Old Town, depending on the weather. We should also go grocery shopping and clean we normally do those on Sunday, but can't now with the return of football.
Sunday- Church, Steelers game, and probably not much else as long as I get everything accomplished on Sat.
Planning Bio
Tonight: Nothing. I'd love to just get in bed and read after dinner and go to bed early.
Tomorrow: 20-mile run in the morning, and then just recovering the rest of the day while spending time with the LOs
Sunday: Shoe shopping for the LOs and relaxing
I'm going to a coworker's baby shower tomorrow early afternoon, and then a wine tasting at another coworker's later in the day. A lot of coworker activities on the weekend, it's a little odd.
Sunday, my friend is coming over so we can attempt an Indian dish (not sure which one yet) and then we're going to the Takoma Park Folk Festival. *IF* it's not rained out, ugh.

Tonight I went to a local HS football game because DH had to shoot it. We only stayed for the first half so he could get back and put his show together.
Tomorrow we are having a small cookout for DH's birthday. So, I'll be getting ready for that all day while trying not to overdo it with my leg so I won't be in total agony during the actual party.
Sunday I would like to do something to honor the day, but I don't really know of anything going on here. Other than that, I'll probably just be resting and getting ready for the week ahead.
We just drove back from Charleston yesterday and are settling back into normal life after a lovely 10 days away (did OBX, Wilmington, Calabash, and Charleston).
Today did laundry, a 5-mile run, and general post-trip cleanup. Will probably go see Contagion tonight.
Tomorrow will take a few moments to reflect upon and honor 9/11, but also celebrating life by enjoying brunch with girlfriends and dinner with another couple.
