Anyone watching Project Runway?

I am only 15 minutes in so far but is it just me or is Josh being a drama queen??  Bert isn't my favorite but really leave the poor guy alone he wasn't doing anything wrong.

Re: Anyone watching Project Runway?

  • I'm just getting to the end. Yeah, Josh was being a pill. You find out later int he show why. It doesn't make it okay, but you kind of understand.  I'm hoping for Beck to go.
  • josh needs to tone down the sass in a major way. he is NOT that good for that big of an attitude.
  • Ugh, I can't stand Josh. I hate ego. I hate bullies. I hate drama. I hate attention whores. He is all that in one package. Yuck.

What a contrast between the two teams. AMAZING what the other team did in two days. Two more days, and that would have been a collection worthy of the Bryant Park caliber.  Something that takes months usually!

And team clock. Wow. Lol at Kimberly just plugging her nose and doing something fairly unrelated and using none of the fabrics. I kind of liked Becky's fabric. It would've been better at smaller scale though.

  • I can't even imagine dealing with the death of mom and how difficult it must be for him.  That being said it doesn't give him a free pass to be so crazy!

  • Yeah, but his mom died two YEARS ago. Not right before he went on the show. Give me a break.

It was her birthday, and that is hard even two years later.  But yes, he is a drama queen seemingly every day, not just during difficult times.

  • I was sorta hoping Josh would get the boot just cause...he is getting on my nerves. So is Bert.

Viktor's dress was amazing - I'm surprised it didn't get the win. Or Olivier's jacket - especially after all the commentary about the impeccible tailoring. Laura's jumpsuit was kind of tragic and I'm surprised the judges didn't have more to say about that. But it was probably Becky's turn to go.

    This.

I did wonder if the fact that Olivier made the jacket only, and everyone else had their hands in more than one garment played into the judges decision, and we just didn't get to see that.

I couldn't believe that the judges let that jumpsuit skate through without comment, and I was quite surprised that the super short, lumpy hipped skirt didn't raise an eyebrow.  The judges are so inconsistent.

My son in law thinks that PR and cooking competitions should have blind judging, so that personalities don't color decisions.  I think that would be interesting.

  • I thought Viktor should have won that challenge.  When they announced Anya I was so confused I had to rewind it to watch it again.

Josh M needs a therapist and a chill pill. I like nothing about him. And P.S., with my sailor mouth, he'd hate being in a room with me.

Anya winning was out of nowhere for me as well.

  • I also wanted to add that I think Olivier's jacket was impressive at first glance.  On a second look, however, I thought the bust was ill-fitting.  It was doing something weird with making the model look like she had pointy banana tits.

I agree.  Anya's was fine but not win-worthy, whereas Viktor's was exceptional.  He's my favorite so far, and one of the few reasons we're still watching what I think is a sucktastic season thus far.

  • I wonder if Anya won because she did Viktor's pants too

I do agree with you about Josh M, but he would love working with me.    I don't swear and I agree with his feelings about swearing...especially about it making people sound uneducated .

We worked with a seventy something year old costume designer who swore like a shipload of sailors.  She made everyone uncomfortable with her barrage of swearing, even though it was normally not directed at anyone, and she was not mean.  It was just too much to have to listen to all day.  Even though she was an interesting person and I learned a lot from her, it was not a good work environment.   Working with her a couple of times a year (for a few weeks at a time), was actually one of the reasons that we left our job with the ballet company.
