:(

I leave for the beach tonight and I really wanted a good weigh in this AM to send-off with. You know, all that feel good, pump me up so I don't eat like crap on vacation motivation.

I gained/didn't loose anything this week.

The first time in 8 weeks.

::sniffle::

Re: :(

  • Your weigh in is only moment in time... and your weighing in a few days earlier also. Water weight fluctuates daily.. Hang in there!

    (((HUGS)) Have a great time on vacation!

  • Be proud of how far you've come in the last 8 weeks! Now is a time to relax and celebrate. Enjoy a long walk on the beach with the boys, thinking about your lighter self.
  • plateaus are normal part of the journey especially for someone who has lost as much as you.  You've lost nearly 10% of your body weight.  hello!  Your body is taking a natural check and saying woah, what, what is happening.

    it suuuuuuuuuuucks.  I know.  But, know that when the scale starts moving again (and it will) you should see a nice tidy loss :)
  • 8 weeks is 100% normal for a plateau.  If you were my client, I'd recommend a few sold cheat meals.  A week at the beach sounds like just the thing to jump start your metabolism and get it moving again.  You can also carb cycle when you hit a plateau.  Go high carb one day (Whole wheat pasta, brown rice, sweet potato) and low carb the next.  Your metabolism will essentially jump to process the carbs and do the same the following day, thus burning more fat b/c you don't eat as many carbs.  =)

    I haven't had a drop of alcohol since I started, are those the type of carbs you speak of? Because I can totally enjoy a pina colada (or two or three) this week. :)

    Thanks laides! I know it's ridiculous after loosing 20 lbs to feel this way - but you all are great with the encouragment! :)
