BR: Contrax related, just trying to be prepared
How did you know the difference between your BH and when you started real labor contractions?
I've been having BH constantly. I would say that 90% of the time that I put my hands on my stomach, it's hard from a BH.
Is the only real difference the pain? I've started to get random back pain with every-other BH but no pain up front. How would you describe the pains during the very beginning of labor?

This is what I've been led to believe so far.
My OB told me that BH aren't painful (or aren't supposed to be anyway) they are just random "cramps" and "hard spots" in your uterus.
She said that actual contractions are painful 95% of the time and I would definitely know the difference. We shall see.

Greeeeeeeaaaaaaaattttt. The MW at my OB's practice told me that I should have "no problem" driving home from work if they start while I'm here. Now I'm starting to doubt her.

exactly- I was induced and the nurse said- "cant you feel those contractions?!?" I said well yes, however they arent bad. As soon as the water broke... I knew I was in for it. There is a HUGE difference. You will know for sure.
This isn't meant to scare you....
Honestly, everyone is different, and if your water DOESN'T break, than I could see you being fine. But yeah, like I said, mine did, and that's why it was so intense so fast. Of course, I had about 2-3 days of annoying early labor that I got through, so you never know...
Just relax... no need to freak out about the inevitable, and just let is happens as it will, because one way ot another, it's going to happen.

Ya, this is what I try to keep telling myself. I just hope I notice them right when they start so that I can tell my boss ASAP and head on home. My luck is that my water will break here, the contrax will be awful and I won't be able to walk...let alone drive. Oh well; che sara, sara.
