2 weeks to closing...what should I be doing?!
We are suppose to close on our first house in 2 weeks. We havn't heard much from out realtor and don't know what to be doing. We did the inspection and they said they would fix the 2 things we asked for and we got a few insurance quotes.
I have no idea what I should be doing now. Any advice? THANKS

There isn't much to do but stay on top of your loan officer, keep communication open and make sure that they communicate to you. At that point we didn't do anything but schedule the final walkthrough and have questions sent to the sellers.
I really want to stress the concept of staying on top of the loan officer. Because ours were SO bad with communication we ended up closing 5 hours late on a Friday (9 PM). If we didn't have to move that night it would have been pushed back a week.

Packing?
Pack pack pack. Purchase the home owners insurance if you haven't already.
Whatever you do don't go on a spending spree or open any new accounts, your lender will pull your credit a day or so before you close.
We're in the same boat. I'll agree with PP stay on top of your LO. We followed up this wednesday just to see where things stood and got a "oh I meant to call you Monday for X, Y & Z."
We'll be calling her again on Monday just to check on things again. Too much communication is always better then too little.

Definitely stay on top of your loan coordinator at this point. Has your new home been appraised? Practically all loans will require this, and your loan officer sets that up. You can read more about appraisals here. Ask her (or him), is there any other documentation you need from me and what are the next steps before my loan is approved?
And Megstoo is right ? don?t go out and make any large purchases right now ? if your lender is still deciding on your loan, this will make your credit score go down, so you DON?T want that to happen right now.
Another thought ? if it?s not a brand new home, is the seller offering you a one-year home owner?s warranty? That will take care of any major problems that happen in the first year ? push for that from your seller. If it?s not possible, you may want to think about purchasing it yourself.
