Friday Vents - who has 'em
What do we normally call this? FML?
Anyway, it's nearly the weekend and we know someone has pissed you off or you're having a bad day? Vent away!

I run a meeting every week on Wed for Managers and Friday for their entire National team - like 300 people, maybe? Anyway I have to get all the materials people want to present, put them together, send them out, blah blah. Everything is due to me Tues and Thurs.
This week this one guy is being such a douche. He sent me the stuff for Wednesday totally last minute and not in our template. I told him fine, forgiven, but Friday better be on time and in template. The call is at 1PM today. I have.........nothing. Just, nothing. I have been tracking him down like a bloodhound but he's ignoring me. (Normally the call is over booked and if someone pulls this I just tell them they aren't presenting but this week he's the only person so I can't really do that).
So, fine. I just sent my normal reminder email to the entire team (includes his boss) and said the call is at 1 and that I can't send the deck out b/c it's not final yet but as soon as it is I'd have douchebag send it out to everyone himself
I hate to do a vent against my dog but Tuck is almost 3 and he's still not potty trained. I feel like a failure as a dogmother. He's motivated by food but he's too freaking smart to just do something b/c it's the right thing to do and he should know better. People don't lie when they say shih tzus are notoriously hard to potty train.
He is crate trained and won't pee in a crate for the entire day but if you leave him out of the crate all day, he pees. I take him out in the morning, I come home at lunch, and I take him out as soon as I get home. He HAS opportunities to go and I know the little furball can hold it but he has no incentive to, so why should he?
This begins week two of the doggie diaper/belly band. That's right, my dog is sporting a bright teal diaper and sits proudly in the window all day long. I think DH is the most unhappy about this new situation. Maybe I should put this in the confessions post.
Well for boys it's a band that encloses their doggie wang and velcros around the top of their back. It pretty much looks like a diaper on him though. It's kind of ridiculous.
I get the pleasure of washing it weekly and stuffing it with poise pads. I'm on my way to being prepared for cloth diapers.

Ha, I think this is funny, my hormones are nuts sometimes.
Situation #1: My Dad side-swiped our car last night (from rear view mirror to end of back door) and I was pretty much 100% chill (we were all in the car he was driving on our way to dinner for his birthday).
Situation #2: I was doing the dishes yesterday and just about lost my mind because I couldn't get the bowls to go in the way I wanted to.
I hate my job. That about covers it.
Not even the paycheck is helping me get through the days most of the time. Also, I'm having this great twinging pain just above my butt. I can't bend, step or sit without feeling like I'm being stabbed from behind. It's worse when sitting for long periods of time, and since no one worked my job yesterday (the woman who was covering quit and no moves have been made to replace her), I have two days of work to finish in one. Lots of sitting. Whatever I don't get done today will sit on my desk, getting buried by Monday's work until I come in on Tuesday. I got in an hour early today just to get a jump on things, and it's looking like that will be my new schedule until something is done to fill the extra days.
When we moved in to our apartment, the carpet looked nice (it was berber, tan), but we soon discovered it was the crappiest quality ever. It's been unraveling at the seams every time we vacuum since we moved in. It finally got to a point where we told our landlord that if he didn't replace it, we were moving out (seriously, it's embarrassing).
He finally agreed. Today they are installing the new stuff. First of all, he didn't want to do the carpet in the bedroom because it's not unraveling. Fine. Whatever. But now that they're installing it, they're putting one of those awful metal pieces in between the two pieces of carpet, which is so ghetto. Also? Ugliest color carpeting ever. It's dark brown and hideous. DH sent me a pic at work and I cried. Literally. I am so pissed off that I am looking at new places.
