Listing vs. selling contract
I signed a listing contract with my realtor and home sold and settled. I don't really feel that she's being aggressive enough in finding us a home and would like to drop her as our buyer's agent. I went though the listing contract and couldn't find anything that we signed that she had to be our buyer's agent.
So- are listing and selling contracts generally separate? Do RE's typically make you sign a buyers agent contract? has anyone used separate RE for buying and selling transactions?
Re: Listing vs. selling contract
Many people use separate REs for buying and selling. And if you didn't sign anything, it sounds like your original transaction (the sale) is over and you are free to move on. Even if you are still in the middle of selling, as long as you haven't signed anything specifically linking her to you as your buyer's agent, you are free to choose another RE.
