Interview update - WDYT?
First, thanks everyone for your interview vibes for V. He hasn't heard back yet but perhaps you could weigh in on a small development.
As I mentioned, the interview itself went pretty well. V said that they got along really well (interviewer even bought him a coffee) and the interviewer flat out told him that he is perfect for this job EXCEPT that he's lacking experience.
The next day, V checked the company website and a very similar job was posted, except that it was one level up from the one he applied for, and required the experience that V is lacking.
V thinks that he didn't get the job and they reposted the job to better reflect what they're looking for. But if they rejected him, shouldn't they have contacted him to tell him so? I wonder if they somehow decided to hire two people instead of one.
I realize that anything we think would be speculation at this time, but just curious... WDYT?
