Random birth-related question
What did you wear while in labor and to give birth? I really hate the idea of hospital gowns or a bathrobe... but understand the whole need to be pantsless thing. I also realize that hospital gowns make easy to get skin-on-skin contact right away but still would like to hear if anyone has any other suggestions. Thanks ladies!!

AFter being a part of a few births and knowing the goo that goes along with it I just went with the hospital gown. The thought of paying for my own pretty gown - out the door. No need honestly. I had a few emergencies during the labor that caused them to need immediate access to my underparts, my belly and even my chest and arms due to low blood sugars and baby heart beat issues. I wouldnt have even considered anything else... I did wear my sports bra the entire time and just took it off after for skin to skin.
what were you thinking?
I got one of these but I honestly don't know if I will bother with it or not. Also, some hospitals/birthing center won't even give you the option of wearing something other than their gown (so check with them before you buy anything).
