What do you "bring" to a playdate?

Natalie and I are meeting up with my friend from high school and her daughter at their house today.

What do you guys typically bring on a playdate?  Some of your kid's own toys?  A little something for the mom like a bag of coffee?  Nothing?

Married in 2008 - DD born in 2010 - EDD 6.15.2012!

Re: What do you "bring" to a playdate?

  • I usually bring a snack to share with kids and parents, like cookies usually. I don't bring toys. However most of our playdates are with my SIL or my cousin, so that may play some part in it.
  • My kid. :)

I don't usually don't bring anything to playdates, snacks maybe for mom and I to share.

    Have fun!

You beat me to it!!  I was going to suggest that you take your adorable daughter, otherwise it could be awkward!

  • I usually just take Neena. :-)

ETA: We almost always have food too. I never go anywhere without a ton of snacks.

  • I know this is late, but I take the kiddos, a snack, and their sippy cups. No toys or they tend to want to play with their toys by themselves and that beats the whole purpose of the playdate. I love playdates for the kids and the moms too :)
