AW - Baby Shower Invites :-)
Our baby shower is in 2 weeks and my mom and sister are hosting it. We got our invitation this weekend in the mail and I am SOOO happy with them :-) We are planning a very low key/coed/family friendly shower. It will be held at a local forest preserve where they rented a indoor/outdoor pavilion and we'll cater in food. I want to do a football theme, since we are huge football fans and the fact that this kid will be born during football season :-) I am really excited about it!! I am not the one to have the stuffy, women's only, dress up kind of shower. I'm fat and uncomfortable and I want to be able to wear jeans and a t-shirt to my shower haha! Plus I feel like having a baby is a whole family thing, not just a women thing. So I want my DH there and all the other important men in my life there too! So anyway - here's a pic of my invite.

Love the invites and L-O-V-E the shower idea!! I too am not a huge fan of the stuffy, dress-up bla bla bla, and had TWO bridal showers to deal with...I would SO be down with what you are doing! Can't wait to hear how it went and how it was received by your family and friends...what kind of games are planned? Are they football themed?
ETA - please don't get me wrong, I did enjoy my Showers and totally appreciated all the time and effort that my MIL and Mom put into organize each of theirs, but I was just thinking about how much time I spent stressing over what to wear and "how I really don't have fun at other's showers, so how am I going to make sure people have fun at mine, etc" - I have super fantastic memories and am glad to have had the experience, but this idea just sounds like WAY more fun and way more comfortable!
