I'm back!!
I got back last night. I've basically been gone for a week, and it was so good to sleep in my own bed, with DH next to me.
Race report: So much fun!! I will definitely be doing that again. The first 5ish miles were through the parks, with characters everywhere. The middle was through city streets, which kind of sucked, but there were cheerleaders, marching bands, dance groups, etc along the way. After we ran through Angels stadium (mile 9), it was all just about finishing. I was really slow, but I don't care. I crossed the finish line and got my shiny metal. So happy about that.
Then I went to Vegas for a few days. I had fun with my bff, but man was it hot!! It was around 100 everyday. I am so glad to be back home where it is low 70s and breezy. I'm such a weather wimp.
Other than that, all is well. I"m trying to catch up on everything I missed. Good to see you all!

Welcome back!! Congrats again on finishing, it's cool that you ran though Angels stadium as well as the park.
Glad you had fun in Vegas, and yeah gotta love the summer there.
