VENT!!!
I'm about ready to lose it right now. Yes, I am.
Multifaceted vent.
Adrian's birthday is tomorrow.
My dad and brother are here, they are NO help and are a TON more work (cleaning up after, making food for). I try to elicit their help constantly and they may help in miniscule amounts. I'm ready to throw a tantrum.
And Adrian will NOT sleep. It's 10:34 and I have him in the Ergo. He's wide awake and he has been consistently asleep by 8:00 for the last 2 1/2 weeks.. I think he thinks I'm going to leave them with our company.
And to top it off, I feel like I was tricked to have our friends (DH's close friend and family) come to hour house early, to the tune of 3 hours early. We're not even going to be here, but they are going to wait at our house until we get here. THere's nothing I can do to fix that now (I feel).
I have a cake to frost, a house to clean, food to make and a baby who will not sleep and a husband who is working. I could really use some prayers if you're the praying type.

Happy birthday Adrian! I can't believe he's already a year old!
I understand what you mean about having family visit. My parents are arriving today and will be here for 10 days. I love them dearly and I'm glad to have them visit but it's a lot of work to have house guests. My mom tries to be helpful, but it's not always as much help as I wish it were.
I hate to say it, but my MIL is a lot more helpful than my mom when it comes to giving me a break from DD.

So sorry you're so stressed! I hope everything went smoothly today. Planning birthday parties can be enough trouble, adding outside factors just doesn't help!
