I was reading some ideas for non cooking meals and it got me thinking that I will have NO time to do anything! We have DD's b-day party Saturday and since that day's weather is not sure of exactly when rain will come we are not taking in yard stuff incase we can get out there as much as possible- plus we are having cookout food! Then, whenever people leave- hoping those w/o kids leave eraly enough, I can get outsie stuff in the shed before Sunday. Then Sunday we have to go to brunch with Ils for FIL's b-day...yes, you heard me, MIL wants to do this even though everything is going on! I told DH i do not want to with the wetaher and party and what-not, but who am I to say anything. Then I am hoping rain holds off a tiny bit for DD's party to be outside for majority of time (party is at 3) b/c I do not want all those kids in my house (just not enough space and all diff ages makes a MESS that will only take up my time, plus I start work again on Monday too). oh, and I really can't do too much today b/c it is DD's actual b-day today and i want to do things for her today (I know spoilng her, but still- first b-day w/o my dad...I want to do it for her and me). and to add to the lost a parent post, we are going to my dad's grave today and showing him her new American girl doll she got yesterday (she just asked me
).
ok, little vent over, just had to say everything outloud- thanks for listening. I just am stressing b/c of the party I think (nevermind dealing with all IL issues), if not for that I wouldn't care as much I think, well and the fact I start school on Monday and hoping I have power (or one of the old trees go through my roof).
Re: we have dd's party...+little vent
Vent away any time!
So sweet that she wants to share her new doll with your dad. I hope she has a great bday, and I'm sure her party will be great rain or shine. If the weather is bad for the party, just make everyone carry one thing from outside to the shed, and your yard will be clean in no time. People will understand that a party is enough work without the added preparation for a hurricane.
And good luck with the start of school on Monday!
Thank you!
