  Considering my dogs love to pull things out of the bathroom trash can, it definitely gets flushed.

  We have septic so they can't be flushed. And trust me, you don't want problems with your septic tank.

  So I voted "trash" but I'd rather vote special snowflake - I don't use tampons anymore cause I use the Diva cup.

  Aaaaaaaaand that's why I didn't make a special snowflake option.

   

  I know about the septic tank issue, but I actually overheard a convo where a couple of people were like "oh god no, your toilet will get so backed up if you flush them!" ... and DH took a long time before he believed me that it was OK to flush them, and I suddenly thought, "crap, is he right??!?!" haha

  I've heard that they do clog really old plumbing, so maybe that's where he's getting it. But if someone's tampons are so big that they clog modern plumbing, I think you have bigger problems than the plumbing, lol.

  I feel bad for the plumber that has to deal with pipes clogged with tampons. I figure they are use to dealing with sh*t.
