Can you recommend things to do in Southeastern New Hampshire?  We're looking to do like a four day weekend up there in October.  I've only ever been to Amherst for a wedding and didn't see much.  TIA!

Re: *~Junebug~*

  • I just saw this now.

Where abouts will you be going?

I don't know much near Amherst, NH...but I went to college in Durham (over near the seacoast, pretty darn southeastern) and got married in Jaffrey (kinda south central, nh).  If you'll be near either of those I may be able to come up with ideas.  If you're willing to drive a little further, there is always the White Mountains and Southern ME as well.

Depending on when in October you go, you may hit some pretty foliage...though be warned it tends to be muted a little in southeastern NH compared to the White Mtns (lots of pine trees in the sandy soil).

ps.  Bring some extra cash for the state liquore storesDrinks
