Lutheran Church of Hope...

I've gone a couple times when G was a baby and would just sleep on me, but we'd really like to start going again. However G will be going to the nursery. I'm a little nervous because I've heard on Sundays the nursery is crazy. She's quite the social butterfly but having a bit of anxiety lately if I'm not around. I was thinking about going a couple Saturday nights to warm her up to it. Anyway-can you ladies tell me about the nursery? Are Saturday nights better than Sunday?

I'm sure she'll love it once she gets used to it, but I'd rather not spend the first few services worrying about her constantly. My focus needs to be elsewhere ;-)

Re: Lutheran Church of Hope...

  • We go to the 8:00 am Sunday morning traditional service at Hope and we have dropped Carson off in the nursery.  I love it.  Carson has been the only child there for that service before, until it got closer to the 9:15 service and people started dropping off kids for that.  He seems to have a really great time.  If you are looking for a service with lower nursery traffic that might be a good one to try until G gets used to it.  Of course, we haven't been to the Saturday night service or used the nursery at that time so it may be a good choice too.

  • We've never had problems taking Michael to the nursery. If it is really busy, they will open up a new room for the kids to go to. They will definitely buzz you if there is a problem (either with a pager or your cell phone) and we've only had that happen once. Michael loves playing with other kids and he usually has so much fun that he falls asleep on the way home.

p.s, Sunday @ 5 is also a good time to go when it's not busy.
