I'm looking for some really soft and comfy sheets. What thread count do y'all have? What's a good count range that I should stay within? Thanx!

We have Egyptian cotton, 800 or 1000 tc (can't remember), 2 ply (which are a little thicker and supposedly more durable than 1 ply). The thing with 2 ply is that 800 tc, 2 ply are equivalent to 400 tc 1 ply and 1000 tc 2 ply are equivalent to 500 tc 1 ply. We had to learn about this stuff in my Textiles class in college.
We got ours at Home Goods half off - LOVE that store!
Yes! One set of our sheets are from Tuesday Morning; the other is from either Ross or Marshall's. I don't know our thread count. I usually unzip the package and feel the sheets. If I like how they feel, then we get those.
