I just want off my BC in July as we are open to having children at this point, but aren't going to try (e.g. charting ovulation etc), but are just going to let nature take its course. So if I was still on BC I would have gotten my period on Aug 24th so at this point I am over 2 weeks late. I know it's normal for it to take longer to come back, especially when you've been on BC for the last 6-7 years but it's kind of freaking me out. It's unlikely I could be pregnant as we're using condoms the first couple months so the BC hormones can get out of my system. Just curious if others have had similar experiences when you've gone off bc? I already miss bc though because of it's consistency, lack of cramps, and less breakouts on my face.

Re: going off BC
I haven't been on BC since I was like 17 but I know it is pretty common for your cycles to be weird after coming off birth control for a while. If being late is freaking you out, why not buy a home pregnancy test? When I was younger I found that whenever I was late and took a pregnancy test, my period would always start that day or the next morning lol.
I had the same issue when I went off BC. I got my period on time the first month, then missed it for 2 months, then it came twice within 3 weeks, then i missed it again for like a month and a half. It's pretty normal. Try not to stress because that can throw it off more, but if you're concerned get a PT.
For the record, I ended up going back on bc. I was off of it for 11 months and between never knowing what was going on with my cycle (and we were trying to use NFP which made it SUPER frusterating), breaking out like I was 16 and feeling like crap all the time I was miserable. I even went to the doctor about it and got blood tests done to see if something else was wrong and everything came back fine. I just figure it wasn't the right time in my life for me to go off of it and I'll wait to go off until we are TTC.

I miss BC soooooo much. My skin is not doing well since I've been off it.
My first few months off BC were still 28 day cycles like when I was on it. Last month it was a 35 day cycle (I POAS on day 35 because I was stressed and it came a few hours later). We are TTC (but not temping or charting or anything) now. I don't really know when to expect my next AF so I probably won't be as frazzled if she is running behind.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermI would probably test just for peace of mind. Call you doctor is your period doesn't start in 60 days and you continue to test negative on HPTs.
I came off in may.......i had two great cycles.....30ish days....and third cycle? I'm currently on CD64 and 7DPO.....i had a previous O date in this cycle but it got taken away by fertility friend....I spotted in the middle of this....so i either didnt spot enough to actually mamke it a period, or i'm just now ovulating.....im taking it day by day and temping and charting and abstaining as much as possible. i did test somewhere in the late 30's/early 40's.....I got a huge cold/cough that i sitll have and if i had simply been late and pregnant, everything i was going to take isnt "pregnancy approved.
That being said? OH MY GOD I LOVE being off the PILL!!!!!!! I Feel so much better
If you're really worried...test.....it'll ease your mind....sometimes the stress of worrying that you're pg makes it not come
Getting fit for IVF!
Other than what seems to be hormonal breakouts on my chest and back (and they are getting bad!!) I loveeeeeeeee being off birth control. I was an emotional wreck on it. We aren't trying or wanting kids at the moment so we are using condoms, but we are also aware if something happens, it happens and we are open arms.
However, after a year of being in the USA we are FINALLY able to sign up for medical coverage this week. So I think I will go in and ask about going back on the pill. I'm nervous though since I have not had great experience (first Yasmin was making my legs cramp and they thought it was blood clots, and then Alesse was making me severely depressed) But I really want the added protestion, less cramps and hormonal breakout control.
I have read that it takes a while for your cycle to get back on track after going off the pill. If you are worried I think there are medical nurse lines you should be able to give a ring. My reaction to being off the pill was exactly the opposite.. too many periods!
