Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend?

Any new Boston babies? (Is hearing that question annoying yet, ladies? haha)

Re: Happy Monday!

  • Hi!

Weekend was fantastic. Went into Boston on Saturday, took DD to the tot lot and visited some $$$$ open houses Sunday. Spent the rest of the time hanging out or watching sports. Ahhhhh....

  • I'm still here Smile

We had a good weekend-- went to a bar mitzvah on Saturday but only stayed for the service, hit up BRU for the trade-in event and picked up a swing (though not the one I wanted since the stupid trade-in event did not include the discount on the fisher price swings. Boo).

Sunday, I basically finished up thank you notes (I had a lot to write and still have a few group gifts to write notes for) and got a pedicure/ ran errands.

  • Weekend was good.  Friday night I went up to my parents' house to go out to dinner for my father's birthday.  I took Doug and stayed overnight, which was rough because he was up all night.

Saturday I had an eye appointment, then took a nice nap.  Saturday night I went out to dinner and drinks with some friends, which was nice, but I did miss DH.

Yesterday was a lazy day.  I went to Goodwill to make our millionth donation.  Then went to Marshalls because DH works for the company and it was double discount weekend.  Bought a Phillies shirt for him, new jeans because I gained some weight Sad, and a new shirt.  Watched Easy A which was really cute.

  • My bff from HS got married this weekend! It was my first time as a BM and it was really fun. The wedding was awesome and I'm really sad it is all over!

This week is going to be rough because I only worked 2 days last week; I had last Monday off for Labor Day and I took Thursday and Friday off for the wedding. And I'm totally not into all this back-to-school traffic in the mornings. Ugh.

I thought that movie was cute, too! I like that actress.

I don't think I've ever felt this way as a BM...I'm always so glad everything is finally done!  Maybe that's because I often do double-duty as a day-of coordinator, though.  Glad you had a great time!

Our weekend was pretty good.  Friday we stayed in and rented a movie (Source Code--pretty good).

Saturday I did some housework to prepare for our guests who arrived that night.  Also sat outside for a little while enjoying the nice weather.

Yesterday we walked around the Commons, Beacon Hill, Cheers, Newbury St., and Copley with the visiting friends.  Had dinner at Atlantic Fish Co., which I've been wanting to try forever, and it was so good.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

I felt that way for the shower. I couldn't wait for it to be over and delete all the corresponding emails. The bride is very organized so everything was scheduled nicely the morning of and the ceremony was at the reception venue and the coordinator there was very organized and on top of things so that helped a lot too.

I'm totally dreading being in my brother and FSIL's wedding next year. She is organized too but it is a bigger bridal party who are younger (right now ages 22-25 mostly, then there's DH and me at 28) so I think her shower will be even harder to plan than this past one.

  • Weekend was pretty good! Loving the cooler weather too.

Saturday we went to go Apple picking.  Ended up not doing because of the price.  But I did buy some Apple Cider donuts, which was what I really just wanted all along Smile  Also stopped at another farm store and got Pumpkin donuts, they were super yummy.  Then we headed home for DH to watch the Penn State game, then we spent the night cleaning...fun!

Sunday we had our first shindig at the new place.  More cleaning and cooking in the morning, then hanging out with friends, grilling out, and watching football.  After the Eagles game was over, we headed downstairs to play the Wii.  We played "Just Dance", and started a girl vs. boy competition, which was fun!  Then DH played against one of the other guys, dancing to MC Hammer's "Can't touch this"....it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen!!! I think we got some video too Big Smile  Overall it was a great party!

That does sound like fun.  I think we need to buy that game.

  • Monday already!?

My weekend was great. Saturday was my SIL's bach party in Boston. We went out to dinner and then a few different clubs... danced until 2am! What an awesome time! Sunday I spent the whole day relaxing on the couch. It was great.

  • Cwbyktty, that party sounds really fun! And MrsC, I'm glad you had a good time at the wedding.

We had a super lazy weekend, since I worked the last two and we have stuff going on over the next 3. I left work early on Friday, (since the program ended at noon) and grabbed supplies for quesadillas and margaritas. Saturday, we were lazy and mostly watched tv/read. (I finished off Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which was pretty good. And I started Ape House, by the author of Water for Elephants, and I'm really enjoying it.)

Yesterday, we took the for a walk up to Starbucks and then the bakery, which had delicious apple cider donuts, so yay! Then my husband watched football and I watched a movie in the other room (I Love you Phillip Morris, which was ok - I really didn't know anything about it going in). Then we walked up to the grocery store.  I spent last night cramming for the job interview I had this morning (which went well, I think, except it turns out that it's a term-limited position, which I'm not enthused about). I definitely could have used another day off, though.  Boo to missing out on the 3-day weekend last week.

  • We had a good weekend. We had friends over and grilled on Friday night. We drove all over the place to check out neighborhoods and some houses Saturday and made 2 stops to see friends while out and ate lunch.

We also watched Love & Other Drugs. I found it hysterical and am finding myself chuckling every time I see or think about our sales team.

DS had me up most of last night with a stuffy nose and I hated to leave him and DH today (on business up here now) but part of me is looking forward to a night of sleeping alone in a huge hotel bed.
